Has anyone ever dealt with a blockage in the ducts so severe that it
caused the area to appear almost nipple-like? As in prodruding as much as
the nipple itself do to the inflamation from the blockage? I was talking
with a mom who just weaned after she had her blocked ducts "cut open" and
drained. She tried many tips to help her milk flow effectively on the one
breast which ended up this way. Wondering if this could have had anything
to do with her nipple being inverted -- does an inverted nipple ever
signify deeper tissue malformations? It started around the time her milk
started "coming in" on day 4 until the day of surgery to open up the
blockages at 3 wks postpartum.
Thanks for any input,
Megan
