I think I have seen a reference for the continuation of nutrition for babies
who are breastfeeding beyond a year, but can't seem to put my finger on it.
Need some references for a mom to take to her new young ped. I've already
suggested that mom ask for the ped's references, i.e. exactly what date does the
nutrition stop??!! However, I would like to give the mom something concrete to
hand to the ped, for educational purposes. BTW, this doc also says that
breastfeeding past a year is "socially unacceptable". Hurry your reply--baby's
getting near that magic date, whatever it is!
