Just wanted to share a moment with everyone. I was bringing a nursing bra
to a mom the other day. The dad had baby and there was a guest present.
When I came in the dad said to his baby ( now 8 months old), there's the lady who
made you so big--and went on with praising me and how great breastfeeding is.
By the way, dad is a doctor. I replied that it was mom's doing. I
really didn't do that much--mostly encouragement and correct information when baby
was a newborn.
I must admit, it felt great. It has been a long time since I have had a pat
on the back. Two years to be exact---before we located to an area with
disappointing breastfeeding rates.
Aloha,
Gloria Thai--wishing she went with her daughter back home to Hawaii for the
summer.
