This ?? has been brought up before on Lactnet and IME, generally perplexes
me. In my area, my pp and the pps of other LCs COULD handle many more
consults than we actually see. Having an established practice for over
8years, I feel that many are aware of my services (I had one Mom tell me
recently that I was recommended to her by 3 different people; a friend who
had used me , the hospital of delivery and her pedi) BUT the actual consult
number has remained stagnant for a few years. Because of the need for a
steady, more predictable income, I'm heading back into hospital practice
again soon.
