You're already giving this mother a lot of credit for protecting her
supply, and working so hard to give this baby her milk.  Maybe it will
help to emphasize that the baby *did* take the breast initially so she
*can* -- it's not some physical or neurological problem preventing the
baby from latching.  The baby has just made a bad decision from lack of
experience.  (Maybe you can point out that with such strong-mindedness,
this baby will go far in this world...)

The LLLI website has a good overview article on strategies for
"gentling" the baby back to the breast. (The article might also reassure
her that she's not the only one to come through such a difficult, but
increasingly common situation).  It's helpful to point out that the
skin-to-skin time and gentle play in itself has value for both of them,
whether it leads to a latch that day or not.
