Just some musings: when women have less than a minimum of body fat, and I
can't remember the number now but it doesn't matter, they stop menstruating.
I always took that as a sign that ovaries are getting the message that
conditions are just too 'lean' to support a pregnancy. Don't know how
prolactin levels correlate with body fat, but high prolactin is associated
with amenorrhea.
Haven't researched this area myself. Anyone else? Do we know anything
about the effectiveness of LAM and the mother's BMI?
