R. Lawrence Moss, M.D., associate professor of surgery and a recent
addition to the School of Medicine faculty, has joined the staff at the
Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital as surgeon-in-chief. He is known for
his leadership in clinical research in children’s surgery and the
development of evidence-based surgery. Moss is spearheading a clinical
trial in 12 centers across the country to investigate different ways of
treating premature newborns who suffer from necrotizing enterocolitis, a
severe inflammatory disorder of the intestines.
