Hi my name is Carla and I am typically a lurker...I am learning so much
from you wonderful lovers of breasts and babies. But this string has
touched me, I became a CLE after I had a lot of difficulty initially
breastfeeding my son(didnt get him to the breast for 5 days) and I LOVE
being a CLE, I do some fufilling volunteer work. I have thus wanted to
become a CBE but was unable to attend the course b/c only small babies are
allowed a baby that isnt in arms would be to much of a distraction. My son
is not ready for me to leave him for a 3 day period or even one day-he
still feeds practically all day long, he is 10 months old. I wanted to do
the CBE course b/c I thought most people take a child birth class but not
all take a breastfeeding class so I could reach a lot of mothers and
partners. My dream is to become a Lactation Consultant but my family
priorities make me concerned how to achieve both.
So I will continue to glean great amounts of knowledge from all of you wise
ones on Lactnet.
Thanks
Carla
CLE, Mom to Tj-10 months old and loves his nummis
