Last year during World Breastfeeding Week, Medela had a promotion with Babies
R Us. Our Breastfeeding Advocacy Group did tables there, played an electric
quiz board game, gave out treats to those who played...kids, dads, grandpas,
along with tons of women, played our game. And there were drawings with
donations from Medela and Hollister. Medela had a video the store was
suppose to play during the promotion times....well, the young MALE manager
pulled it while it was playing and said it was inappropriate for children to
see!! Of course a little argument persisted but he wouldn't back down. It
was a beautiful video!
Babies R Us probably thinks Breastfeeding has its own "special" week for
promotion so why include it in the Baby Fairs! That could be managements
thinking!
