Dear Lactnet,
I also see many cases of "GER"........arching, bad breath, grimacing,
hiccoughing and spitting, nasal congestion, waking an hour after feeds or pulling
off shortly after feeding (and not from OAMS). Often there IS an
overabundant supply egged on by fussing misread as hunger. I find this whole thread very
topical. Susan Boekel (sp?) is my GER guru. She spoke at ILCA a few times.
This is also an article of interest:
Gastroesophageal Reflux and Cow Milk Allergy: Is There a Link?
Salvatore and Vandenplas Pediatrics.2002; 110: 972-984.
See www.kellymom.com and search "reflux" for this article and Susan's
notes and more.
