<< Some moms' nipples look "standard", but then widen up
with pumping. >>
I am behind on posts, but had to say that I have also found
this to be true. It is much more helpful to see the nipple "in
action" in the pump flange...I have been fooled several times
by looking at the nipple at rest. We keep some "sample"
flanges around for moms to try, and it is very useful. We
always recommend doing this in a mom who is having
supply problems from pumping at work (or whatever
reason). Just yesterday I saw a mom who had never seen
one breast "spray" while pumping...until we put on the
30mm flange. Her nipples did not appear that wide
"at rest".
