There is a letter in this week's Medical Journal of Australia about an
8-month old breastfed girl who presented with seizures secondary to
hypocalcemia. The letter is followed by a comment, which recommends
"screening high-risk pregnant women, specifically veiled women and those
with dark skin". "There is currently no recommendation for routine
supplementation of Vitamin D in infants..."
