Here is more info on the situation I mentioned a few days
ago, with some clarifications too.
She has done:
Nystatin (mother-topical and baby-oral)
A short dose of fluconazole.
Clotrimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate Cream 1%/.05%
base.
The size is more the tip of the pencil, not an eraser,
about
1/8 of an inch in diameter. When I last saw it (2 weeks ago)
it was a white blister-like bump and she now says it is pink
and caved in in the center and is red and scabby. The rest of
the nipple and on the other nipple will peel every other day
or so. She feels like it is an eczema type problem (she has
ongoing eczema on other parts of her body), but off and on
baby will get one single white patch on her tongue, which
brings her back to the Nystatin.
She is going to her regular MD tomorrow.
Any other ideas?
