RE: "The concept that this author is espousing is a reason that breastfeeding
is often sacrificed; "well, just in case......"
NOTE: I did not state that BF should be sacrificed for those that want to
whiten teeth. I did suggest waiting to WHITEN at the safer time. I believe
women who are pregnant and those who choose to BF must be advised of the
risks and be able to wisely choose their risks. In that case, no matter what
most dentists believe there is still a little bit unknown about impact on the
fetus of whiteners....and it is so stated on some materials
used......SO....why not be better safe than sorry or blind....and just wait
until an infant is born and at least 3 months after-birth-age before using
those materials.
IN A PARRALEL ISSUE: "Mercury fillings" have gotten a bad wrap....while white
resin fillings have been advocated (FYI---they are a great profit center).
They both have advantages and disadvantages and those who practice, preach
and all who receive dental care should be open to the fact that cherished
white fillings may have more danger to the body than the mercury based
metals.......As more research documents reality we should be open to the fact
that THE PENDULUM SWINGS with time and experience.
