I haven't heard this disc, but Shostakovich's "light music" can for sure
be a treat.  My wife and I were at a concert once at which DS's Gadfly
suite (I think it was a suite, anyway) was played.  It was delightful.
Her unbelieving response: "That was Shostakovich?"
