Pat, I read this article and got a completely different impression.
Things I learnt about extended breastfeeding from reading it were:
Husbands don't like it
It makes you not want to have sex
It makes you stressed and exhausted because the child will wake often at
night
It's a problem if you have a professional career because people view you
differently
It is immodest
It is socially unacceptable and people will make statements of horror to you
or may tell you you have to leave or otherwise harass you
There were some good things written (and the fact that it is being talked
about is positive) but overall I thought it pretty dismal.
