Hi. I have been reading all of the posts about formula marketing with much
interest. I have recently started working at my hospital and I am in the
process of making breastfeeding handouts. I too agree that the less logos
we have the better. Ultimately, the only logo I would like to see on
handouts is the hospital's. We'll see! Anyway, it seems that the formula
companies are very good at comparing human milk to their formula and they
make it look like there is no difference.

I am thinking about making a handout that clearly illustrates the huge
difference between human milk and formula. I know that many mothers easily
stop breastfeeding because they truly feel there is not much difference
between the two. I haven't decided how to go about this yet so any
suggestions would be much appreciated. I would like to show that human milk
contains many more ingredients, but I would like to also point out that the
ingredients that human milk and formula "share" are not as similar as the
companies would like you to believe (ie. sources). It seems like I saw a
chart like this somewhere. Anyway, do you think this is a good idea?
Thanks for your time.
