Please recommend hands-free bras to your regularly-pumping mums! They
don't have to buy the commercial versions unless they want to; a couple
of slits and a couple of snaps in an old (stretchy, double layered)
sports bra does the job very nicely, and leaves the hands free to
answer email (ahem) or massage/compress the breasts to stimulate more
let-downs or clear blocked ducts.

My experience says yes: just compressing while pumping has given me a
lot of first-metacarpo-phalangeael joint pain. I can't imagine hand
expressing all the time, but it is handy for an emergency.
