this same thing happened when I nursed my daughter (I think when she
was 4 months old or so). The LC I saw at the time suggested I nurse
her sitting up. I either sat her upright on my lap or sat her next
to me on a stack of pillows. If I remember correctly, the LC thought
it might have been the tail end of a growth spurt and that my
daughter just hadn't figured out how to deal with the increase in
milk volume. After a few days of nursing in that position, things
got back to normal. My daughter totally didn't care about it, but it
was one of those new mom things that absolutely FREAKED me out.
