I have had alot of experience with formulas, as used to supplement adopted
babies at the breast. I thought of Pregestimil, which is formulated for
situations such as CF and short gut. I have no scientific background, but I
wonder if someone who did might get some ideas on how to alter breast milk
to be more easily digested by this baby, by looking at the process
Meade/Johnson uses to produce Pregestimil.
My heart sure goes out to these parents, but I am sure their baby is in
exceptionally good hands! Being a medical family, ourselves, was a very
definite advantage for us, adopting two babies with serious problems.
Best Wishes,
Darillyn
