Has anyone every heard of "subacute mastitis" (NOT sub-clinical) ? The
patient is usually afebrile, may or may not be lactating, has breast redness and
tenderness mostly inferiorly and needs to be treated with high dose antibiotics
for resistant bacteria over a 4-6 week period of time.

I have searched the archives as well as pubmed to no avail.  Thanks,  Chris
