Being a firefighter we've been given a few classes on this also. As of April
15th of this year this goes into affect and all of our logs (with our
ambulance responses) are being sealed and we can no longer go back and look
for something. All ambulance responses will be given a # and if later on we
develop any type of symptoms that could posibly be related to a call we were
on, we can get info from that #. But, it has to be for a medical emergency
only.
I too think this is all related to all the HIV cases in the world today. It
all has to do with privacy and the $$ involved (i.e. lawsuits)
