Hi Kathy and all,
might I suggest a two-tiered approach to replies?
Readers who subscribe to the *digest* should create a new message and
paste in the subject and comments they wish to reply to. This would
prevent instances of sending the whole digest to the list and the
obscure digest subject line problem.
Readers who get the *individual emails* should "reply to" the message,
but top quote, that is snip out everything but what they wish to respond
to, with their responses below the quoted text. The "reply to" function
preserves the message threading which is very helpful to those of use
who get individual mails, as it links the messages in the conversation
train regardless of the subject line.
regards,
Beth
