Hello,
I my name is Cindy, I am an RN,IBCLC in Spokane Washington. I work in a
hospital based maternity outpatient service as a lactation consultant.
I received a call today from a 6 week breastfeeding mom regarding the
NuvaRing contraceptive. (Approved by FDA 10/01 now on the market) Her MD had
suggested it stating that from the info he had read "it would not interfere
with milk supply.
In reading the 3 lactnet postings concerning the ring, the concensus was
"that it probably not going to be a nursing mothers contraceptive of
choice." These were posted early October. Has anyone any further experience
with it?
Cindy
