Even in NY parents would have the right to refuse treatment such as eye
ointment. The nurses would probably give lots of grief, but parents can
insist. In NJ eye ointment is a state law and parents fill out/sign a form
when they state that they do not want this treatment. Refusal of treatment
is a basic patient right. Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
