>Isn't it amazing that smaller children who are more proportional
>(much less skinny!) are the ones who get the most intense questioning?
Is our sense of proportional also dictated by averages? There is lots
of healthy legitimate variation out there, and I wonder about any
doctor who relies too much on the charts without looking at the kid.
>I have left of family doctor's office on the verge of tears
>(and I'm an RN, knowledgeable about bf!) because I was treated as though I
>was abusing my daughter by continuing to breastfeed and not supplementing.
sounds like it's time to change docs, or at least get a second opinion.
I think second opinions are much underused in American culture. We are
afraid of insulting the doctor, or something. Is this true elsewhere as
well?
