Need reply ASAP.  Mother of 2 week old was put on Macrobid last Sat  for UTI.
Mom was nursing until today when ped told her to stop BFing, pump and dump
for 3 days.  My Hale says not to give to babies under one month.  Is this
still true?  Are there any alternatives?  Should mom have culture/sensitivity
done.  What would be the harm of dumping for 3 days, other than that they
baby may have a hard time going back to breast?
