<<The X-rays revealed calcification, or hardening, of the arteries in some,
suggesting heart disease was already a problem in ancient Egypt. Partially
healed bone breaks and serious tooth decay were also evident. To their
surprise, however, the scientists found no evidence of inner ear disease
despite the lack of antibiotics in those days.-- Rick Weiss>>

Letter to the Editor:

In regard to the statement that "the scientists found no evidence of inner
ear disease despite the lack of antibiotics in those days", the scientists
may also be surprised and interested to know the probable rationale behind
this amazing discovery and mystery.

In ancient Egypt the normal method of feeding and nurturing babies and young
children would have been breastfeeding. Modern day research is stuffed full
of evidence that breastmilk and breastfeeding is very significantly
protective against ear infections.

note to Lactentters;please, asap, edit and comment/give suggestions on this
letter.
