It's also normal for breastfeeding mothers to have an elevated
cholesterol, but it's mainly the HDL which is elevated. HDL is
protective, it's LDL which is the problem. How are her triglycerides
and homocysteine levels? Cardiac risk is highest with high LDL, low HDL
and high triglycerides.
