Sometimes women have a high amount of lipase in their milk, and this
enzyme digests fats and makes the milk a little soapy (saponification).
It's still harmless. Scalding the milk immediately after pumping
inactivates the enzyme, along with lots of other good things. As long
as baby is getting most of the milk straight from the source, this
should not matter too much.
