The caucasian bee is a very good bee.  It seems to get a bad name over its
propolisation. I personally am in favor of the carniolan bee. Both are good.
I would try to find a breeder of caucasian bees that breeds for caucasian
characteristics so one can get a good picture of these bees. Remember all
strains aren't the same.  And no you wouldn't be "stupid" to try these bees.
Like a box of chocolates.  There all chocolate, but some you prefer better
than others :>)
