Hello Carol,

The bees available commercially in the USA today are more alike than
different. I have found that there is as much variation with a 'race' as
between 'races' of bees. I doubt that the race of bees in most cases is
true to the type we read about in the books.

So, go ahead and try them. If you have more than one hive try several
different selections if you have an experimental nature.
