Without being there or knowing this woman, I will tread lightly but... this
could be PARTLY cultural, but not entirely. Since breastfeeding is the
biological norm, I would really consider this a ::parenting:: issue, not a
breastfeeding one. If someone said they were grossed out by bathing,
diapering, hugging, or picking up their baby and weren't going to do it, it
would (and should) raise red flags. This does too.

There are plenty of issues that make women afraid of nursing, and many
arguments out there about it (search archives, "sexual abuse" for instance)
but where do we draw the line between saying, "this is a womans choice" and
"this is an issue of parental fitness". I will not pretend it is a simple,
or even ethical judgement, just my .02.
