we have an *excellent* advertisement that we see on TV sometimes which
is a (supposed) new mom saying how she went into Wal-mart to get a
breast pump and the pharmacist was so much help, installed her in a nice
private room to help her out (I don't think they're saying you *have* to
nurse in such a room, but it was more that she got a lot of help putting
the baby to the breast or whatever...) and she ended up not buying the
pump and bf exclusively.  It is a heartwarming ad...

I have nursed several places in Wal-mart (often in the shoe section
where there are benches, though also in McDonald's, the photo studio,
etc.) and haven't had any problems...I would hate to see someone having
problems being told to nurse elsewhere what with such a nice ad for them...
