Hi All,
I am doing my research, but I am having a diufficult time finding accessible
(to me) research/documentation (or any for that matter) that details the
benefits of human milk for immunocompromised adults. I have the father of
my youngest sons best friend who is extremely ill with diabetes related
complications - kidneys barely funtion (if at all), on dialysis weekly, eyes
damaged from the diabetes, and no immune system to speak of. He is
repeatedly hospitalized for 1-2 wks each month for illness due to no immune
system. Each time he is hospitalized he comes home worse than before. His
wife is desperate to find alternative treatment...she is very interested in
using human milk if it will help her husband regain at least some of his
health...but, of course needs to prove it to the Docs...
