Peg,
Anecdotally I have had that experience. I developed a plug and for the next
3-4 months it would get sore and then resolve. It also would be accompanied
by a nipple bleb. The bleb was always there for the whole 3-4 months. I
never tried to lance it and I didn't know what it was at the time. Finally
the bleb got to be where I could barely nurse due to pain. One day while in
the shower I gave my nipple a good scrub and the bleb broke and I was able
to clear the duct of coagulated milk. It all cleared out, the plug left,
the bleb healed and it never returned. I am not sure why it happened. I
have never had any other plugged ducts. Hope this helps in some way.

to resolve. Anyother suggestions for getting it out??
