Dear Dr. Page and all,
My first child had pronounced torticollis and along with that had
cranio-sacral therapy by an instructor at the Upledger Institute........this
included pressure on the pterigoids (sp?) by palate.
She had the same high palate as her younger sister, who had a cross bite
and needed a palatal expander and is a mouth breather (yet to finish ortho
trt). My first child however needed orthodontics only for an open bite and
was Class I. I have often wondered if the palatal work influenced her better
developmental outcomes. It was from 6 wks to 9 months of treatment
sporadically.........I flew around to wherever the Upledger instructor
lectured.
Both girls nursed for over two years.
