Just wanted to add a comment about calcium fortified orange juice being the
reason for citrus allergy in a largely Caribbean population...
Citrus is a significant part of many Caribbean diets (and quite a few other
parts of the world). Lemons, limes and oranges are used in marinades,
seasonings and as ingredients for many dishes and beverages.
Also many people do not realize how ubiquitous lemon, lime and oranges are as
ingredients for salad dressings, seasoning mixes, herbal teas and other foods
in the United States.

also someone VERY allergic to limes, lemons and oranges late in life
