Hi all, I have been way behind on lactnet posts as I too(like Jan) just
took my baby to college. This was the hardest weaning for me, as I have had
children in the home for the last 30 years. I have moved my computer into
one sons room though, so now I have a much nicer space to read E-mails and
may be able to keep up better with lactnet.
It's probaby too late, but I wanted to add to the mom who had osteoporsis
that milk isn't really that good a source of calcium. That is one of the
great nutrion myths that is still wide spread fueled mainly by the dairy
industry. (Similar to the formula industry).
If she didn't want to wean and had milk allergies in the family anyway why
not just take a good calcum supplement.
