I am an LLL Leader acting as a resource for another leader who is dealing
directly with the mom. I am requesting more details, but in the meantime,
this is what I know:
The baby has a history of being gassy with diarrhea. He recently came down
with a cold, then a fever. When the temperature read 94 degrees, the
hospital ran some tests. the platelets are 800 higher than normal. I don't
have a medical background so that doesn't mean very much to me.
Would a baby suddenly come down with an allergy to breastmilk (if there even
is such a thing) at 5 months old?
This mom wants to breastfeed. So does the baby. Any information would be
appreciated.
Thanks for the link, Lara, I'll start there.
