I've been following this thread and am not sure who originated the
questions.  Years ago I had one mother who had an extremely sensitive baby,
bloody stools and colic The pediatric gastroenterologist who did a worke up
bless him said to keep nursing. We worked through many things until we
clicked on citrus. The mother was a BIG consumer of orange juice and
unfortunately soda. She eliminated both for awhile and and the stools
cleared only to reappear when she gave a single dose of tylenol after a DPT
injection.  As she read the label as to additives sure enough citric acid
was on the list - found in most carbonated beverages.
