I forgot how my midwife phrased it, but I believe I remember her telling
me that women who have precipitous labors were often sexually abused. Or
perhaps she phrased it that if you were sexually abused you have a higher
chance of having a precipitous labor. In any case, if that were true, I
would imagine the opposite would be true and that women who were sexually
abused would have a lower c/s rate. I have no idea if her statistics
were accurate or if my conclusion is at all on target. Just thought I'd
throw it out there as an anecdote.
