<<Why does it matter if wedding bands are clearly
visible? I am just wondering here. :)>>
Part of the campaign of AIM marketers is to market
image. As in: Respectable mothers keep their clothes
on, their weddings rings intact, their bottles
clearing planted in their perfectly organized babies’
mouths. Brazen hussies look worried as they bare
their breasts for the no-doubt-unplanned babies they
grasp with naked ring fingers.
There was a particular ad campaign Kathy D. made
infamous through her thoroughly entertaining and
provocative talks. A pensive spinster mom exposes
herself to breastfeed in the first frame and the same
woman in the next frame has had a makeover which
apparently includes a walk down the aisle with a baby
bottle instead of a bouquet. She is pictured fully
dressed, all smiles, bottle feeding and sporting a
wedding ring. Which mother do you want to be?
