In the November 2002 journal "Pediatrics" Vol.110 No.5 pp 989-995 there is
a good article [not about breastfeeding] but about "Reach out and Read" a
literacy program conducted through Pediatric offices and clinics. The reason
I mention it is because it discusses *Change* and the circumstances that
make change more likely to occur. There are a lot of parallels between ROR
and breastfeeding promotion and the changes necessary for a program to
succeed. It's worth a read if you have access to it.
The article is "Pediatrics by the Book: Pediatricians and Literacy
Promotion" by Perri Klass.
