Peg,
First I would look at the overall breastfeeding management and baby's
feeding skills. How is the latch, sucking, any restriction of baby's
access to the breast (scheduling, etc). If all of that is optimal, then
certainly the thyroid might be an issue. If the thyroid is being
suppressed, there might be too much suppression. Mom could easily have
her levels checked, and her dose of PTU reduced if necessary.
