I have always enjoyed attending conferences to see the pump company exhibits
to learn more about how the pumps and products work. As a new LC, that type
of hands on experience was valuable. A friend and I actually
borrowed/bought/got some as samples and as she was still nursing (back in
1987) she and I tried them on her breast. Kittie Frantz has done a full 3
hour session on pumps at the UCLA CLE course since the early 80's. Also where
I learned A LOT. Kittie's book on pumps and devices is a good place to start
if you have never had this type of opportunity.
Maybe this is a good topic for local and regional conferences?
