Subject: The Doctors Who Published the Lancet Study . . .

The Doctors Who Published the Lancet Study must be disarmed.

From another era:

Let's start with typewriters."

Right on, Jay!

And to think, I just last week led a LLL meeting on the Advantages of
Breastfeeding. One pregnant woman said she was particularly interested in
bfeeding's protective effect against allergies (given her family history).
Now I wonder if she's heard of the study and whether she's still as gung-ho.
Given the fact that many of the babies in the study had some formula in the
hospital, I'd love to see Marsha Walker's piece, "Just One Bottle," get as
much publication as this sad little study.

It seems that this year might as well be crowned "The Year of Running Around
Like Crazy Trying to Deal with the Backlash Caused by Inane Studies." First
they told us, "Don't put your baby in your bed unless you want to kill him",
now this.

Julie, LLLL in NJ, sure to hear about this one at the next meeting...
