Tess,
I just wrote an article on low health literacy for a perinatal
health journal. I do not know about wordless bf materials, but I have
a couple of ideas where you could look:
1. Would the UN/UNICEF have any such materials. A quick look
at their websites didn't reveal anything, but if you contact
someone there, they may be able to help you.
2. WABA is another possible source of info. http://www.waba.org.br
They organize WBW each year, and many countries develop materials
based on the theme of the year. The materials on their web site
are just a small fraction of what they offer.
3. There are a few groups in the US that specialize in developing
materials for low literacy populations:
Health Edco www.healthedco.com
Childbirth Graphics www.childbirthgraphics.com
LLLI www.la-lecheleague.org
Weingart www.noodlesoup.com
Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA)

Best Start Social Marketing 800-277-4975
Health Education Associates http://www.healthed.cc/ 888-888-8077
Noodle Soup http://www.noodlesoup.com/
These groups may know where you direct you for wordless materials.
Hope this helps. Please let us know what you find.
