Logic would have one realize that babies that have to have their "food" pulverized and mutilated beyond recognition are just not ready for solids. Solids, afterall, are solids, not liquids. Bottles, like dummies or pacifiers, are substitutes for those innocents who have never benefitted from the myriad advantages and comfort of Mom's breast and breastmilk. Bottles are for Milk or liquids, when no breast is available and that should be that. BUT, like all substitutes, the commercial world has really done a number on mankind, in convincing us that there ARE no babies without a bottle or plug in their tiny mouths. Look at most commercials or advertisements for anything that includes a baby or toddler. How many gorgeous kids have you seen (1/2 of) that have their mouths plugged? Cartoons, books, products, stories, etc.... etc.... will always be accompanied with the usual assortment of these mommy replacements. Look at all the e-cards on the internet, can you find some without any of these appliances? (for lack of a better word)? What on earth would happen to these industries if all the bfg moms would go from breast to table???? So, if the moms arent' using their products because they are bfg then by g-d why not convince them that bottles are a necessity til the ripe ol' age of 4. Bet the orthodontists won't complain.
I do apologize if this is too much TIC.
