I guess I should have explained a little. This mother is a Hispanic mom from
Peru, but has lived most of her life here in the states. She grew up VERY
close to her father until a bitter divorce. There was a period of time she
was not in his life. Now they have a solid relationship and she looks up to
him. I have always been very straight forward with her about her Dad as a
great medical Dr. but the lack of complete breastfeeding info and skills that
most of our Peds, including him, have in our area. He is one that at least
tries to get moms to a year with nursing. Most here could care less. So now
we will try to work on constructive ways to win him over to longer term
nursing and hopefully he won't say negative things since we want to show him
how it will benenfit this specific baby.
Trust me I wanted to say everything you all are thinking and saying!
Thanks for any tips and advice.
Pam
